The coaching relationship is a unique one. It is rare to have someone who can provide you with the
necessary questions, support, processes, accountability and feedback to continually move you closer and
closer to your potential. It won't happen unless you are ready to be a partner in that kind of relationship.
To assess your readiness for coaching, read through the statements below and check the ones that are true
for you.
I recognize that there is a gap between where I am now and where I want to be.
I am ready to make meaningful improvements and changes in the areas of my life where there are gaps.
I am ready to be an equal partner in the coaching process and will commit the time needed for coaching
calls, completing assignments and taking action steps as agreed upon with my coach.
I am prepared to be on time for all coaching appointments as scheduled and to give adequate notice if
rescheduling becomes necessary.
I realize that I am responsible for the progress and changes I make through the coaching process and
that the amount I get out of coaching will be directly related to my willingness to risk.
I am prepared to be open and truthful with my coach and capable of hearing the truth from my coach,
even if it's uncomfortable.
If at any time I feel the coaching relationship is not working for me, I will share this with my coach
and work toward a mutually acceptable solution.
I am familiar with the ways that I limit my success and am willing to take responsibility for changing
them when it is in my best interest.
I am at a point in my life when I will try out new ideas and experiment with different ways of doing
things.
I am ready to keep my word and promises to myself.
